Hello, I am having a hard time when it comes to initial and subsequent visits. This patient had a mva a month ago and comes back to the ER with worsening swelling to the ankle. Is this an initial or subsequent visit ?
Thanks
for anyone's help.
Carol

Is this related to the original injury? What was the original injury? If the original injury has healed and this is related to that injury then it may be sequela, if the original injury is still healing then it is subsequent, if this is a new injury or a re-injury then it is initial.
