Does the pelvic region and thigh area refer to the hip area or is it considered other specified sites?
 
The pelvic region and thigh include the buttocks, femur, and the hip (joint). You can find this at the beginning of Chpt. 13 -Musculoskeletal in the ICD-9 book.
