Hi everyone it is my understanding that with the implementation of icd10 you no longer will be able to bill physicals along with an office visit with the 25 modifer and you cannot append any type of medical diagnosis on the physical code. You can only use a screening code. My doctors are questioning this and how we are going to handle this with our patients. There is so much grey area as what should truly be covered in a physical. For example if they go over menopausal states, or discuss their blood pressure, etc will these now have to become problem focused visits only? How is everyone handling this? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Dana romanowski, cpc, cma
