I would like to know the difference between icd 10 code for m23.36# and m23.26#.

The difference between M23.26 _ and M23.36 _ appears to be based on "History." M23.2 indicates a history of a previous "injury" as a cause of the current meniscal tear, albeit an old injury; as compared to M23.3 which indicates "Other" type or source of the tear such as degeneration, or a type of tear not specified by any of the M23.2 code set. In general, "Other" usually means "none of the above."
