If our physician is ordering a power port to be removed due to malfunction of the port (unable to get blood out of it), what should the ICD 10 code be? We are having a dispute in our office. They used to either use 996.00 or V58.81 which seem to cross over to ICD 10 with several different options. We are teetering between Z45.2 or T82.518A. Can someone please help?
