I am currently taking the CPC course. I have not taken or passed the actual exam. I currently work for a large pediatric practice in the billing department. I have just been given the task of developing a timeline and plan to accomplish ICD-10 Implementation. I feel this might turn out to be slightly over my head at this time, but I will do my best to make this happen.
I have been researching a lot and feel I have a good grasp on what needs to be done and when. Also what should have already been started. I am concerned on what to suggest on the type of budget the practice should be prepared for. Does anyone have any suggestions or projected budget amounts for your practice? We currently have 11 providers, 3 satellite offices, 5 billers, and around 60 other clinical/admin staff. I know that everyone will need some type of training ranging from code set to simple awareness. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
