When billing Remote interrogations such as CPT 93294 & 93296 Can i use the routine ICD 10: Z95.0 or do i need an additional Icd 10 for Medicare?
 
Z45.010 is the more appropriate code for a routine interrogation. Z95.0 is a status code that just reports that the patient has a pacemaker - it isn't the right code to indicate the reason for the visit. And per the excludes note under Z95.0, this code excludes the Z45.0- category, so you wouldn't use both of these codes together.
