I have a path report from a bone marrow biopsy that states the final diagnosis is a bone marrow clot. The dx I am finding is 289.9 but this does not seem completely correct to me. Does anyone know if this would be correct or if there is a more appropriate code?
 
Bone marrow(hematopoietic organ) produces new blood cells so I would go with 289.9 (Unspecified diseases of the blood and blood forming organs)
