Does anybody has icd-9 for borderline abnormal troponins. My guess is 790.5 Other nonspecific abnormal serum enzyme levels??:(
 
If it's just borderline I might not code it. However, for abnormal troponins I use 790.99; however if the abnormal levels were due to MI I would code only for MI based on the guidelines of ICD-9 780-799-9.
