OB/GYN E/M service. The providers are documenting in their assessment "language barrier". On the charge ticket they are identifing ICD's 648.93 and V62.89 which make no sense to me… No, prolonged e/m is identified or billed because of translor being present, nor is there support for such billing. I have inquired locally and all seem to feel there is no such code, which I would agree but need to be sure before telling my providers this. Appreciate any and all suggestions and opinions
