Hi all,

I have a provider stating he / she should get 33249 for removing the existing ICD from the pocket, removing one malfunctioning lead and replacing with a new lead then placing old /current ICD generator back in pocket. I gave the MD 33216. The description in Encoder for 33216 is exactly what is performed. Am I incorrect in my coding?

Thank you.
