Hi,

Any suggestions on coding the following:

Replace RA lead, replace LV lead, revision RV lead, replace CRTD generator, defibrillation testing of ICD.

The hospital is charging 2 device codes c1900 and c1898 which require certain primary codes. Their charges don't match and I'm not sure what they should be.

Second request ICD replacement

hi,

i'm looking at 33249 and 33225 for this. anyone know what it should be for a RA replacement, RV repositioning, LV replacement and generator replacement?

Second request ICD replacement

It looks to be the 33249 (RA lead placement and generator placement), 33225 (replacement of LV lead) and 93641 (DFT testing). You may also bill for the 33241 for the removal of the old generator according to CPT guidelines when billing the new system codes during replacement. To be more accurate though I would ask if you can upload the report? Did the doc take out the old leads?
