I am trying to find an appropriate diagnosis to use for the performance of an abdominal ultrasound when the reason for the study given by the physician is palpable aorta. I see nothing in ICD9 book, however, when I google I get 785.9 which is (Other symptoms involving cardiovascular system) this code specifically lists the two subsets of Bruit (arterial) and Weak pulse. There is no specific sub-set of palpable aorta. Any thoughts?
