Good afternoon:
Our large Orthopedic practice owns their own MRI and performs MRI's. (They are read out of state, professional component purchased) Should we bill under the physician who orders the MRI? Under the physician who is physically in our building in case of medical emergency? Or in case of after hours, we employ residents who are physically in the building, so would they need to be separately credentialed for billing purposes?
Will bill our MRI's globally.
Thanks for your input in advance.
Lynn, CPC
