If the GFR was 3B range prior but is now 3A range, do I code 3A or 3B?” Does it fall under the same guidelines as moving from one stage to another in that it never goes backwards? Meaning patient hits stage 4 but GFRs return to baseline of stage 3 but, we would continue to code stage 4. Does that logic apply to 3A and 3B?
