Hi Everyone!
Has an of your ortho surgeons used the ILLUMINOSS PHOTODYNAMIC System? My surgeon states: photodynamic nail fixation of right acetabular pathologic fracture. I have been researching and no luck yet. It is a very interesting technique for a pathological fracture. If have to go the unlisted code, wondering what the comparison code would be?
He also performed:
Right femur cephalomedullary nail, right pelvis metastasis radiofrequency ablation with the photodynamic nail fixation.
Appreciate everyone's help!

If there is an existing code for an intramedulary or cephalomedulary nail for the bone, you would use that code. A nail is a nail, from the standpoint of work.
If there is no code for that bone, you could use an unlisted code and compare to IM nail of the femur.
There are some subtle differences between this and a standard nail, but the work is more substantial than a typical radiofrequency ablation.
