Wiki Immunization counseling code?

How would you code a visit for counseling immunizations if the patient did not receive a well checkup? The patient did actually receive 2 vaccines. She needed counseling regarding HPV, Varivax, and Menactra prior to going to college.
I know I can't bill for any vaccines not given but patient did receive 2 of the three vaccines discussed so I billed for the appropriate ones and the admin codes.

What about the time spent counseling? Can I bill for a 99401 with a V code for the diagnosis?

You might look at codes 90465-90468. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the suggestion! I have discovered that if you gave the vaccines then all you can bill for is the vaccine and the admin codes. Now, if you did NOT give any vaccines but spent time discussing them, you may be able to bill a brief visit 99211.
