So I was taking the simulated CPC study exams and came across the following immunizations to code --Rota, DTaP-Hib, PCV (with couseling) Not being ignorant I narrowed down the choices to the two that used 90460 instead of 90471 and went from there I used the choice as follows: 90460,90461x2 90680 90721 and 90669 only to have my mind blown that was not the right answer. the correct coding is 90460 x3, 90461 x3, 90680, 90721, and 90669. I did find information that says the coding has changed and the 90460 is to code the first component in the combo immunizations. However I feel like in the 2012 changes book the information conflicts with this info a little bit. Does anyone have a really good reference on what's appropriate when coding immunizations that I can take back to my team?
