There was an article posted on AAPC, here is the web address https://www.aapc.com/blog/44912-seven-incident-to-billing-requirements/

It states that incident to can ONLY be billed to Medicare, so does this mean we cannot bill incident to to any other insurance? I work at an orthopedic clinic and this would be office visits.

Please advise.

Hello - Incident-to is a Medicare concept. Private payers may do something that they call incident-to but you can't assume the private payer follows Medicare's rules. Finally, some private payers do not allow anything that resembles billing for an NPP's services under the doctor's NPI. You'll need to check the guidelines for each plan.
