If an NP sees a new patient and then talks to the MD that is in clinic about a care of plan and the MD sets it is it incident to? Or is it still the NP patient?
or does the MD need to also evaluate the patient for it to be considered incident to?

so the NP states in her note that the above visit was reviewed with Dr. C in office and Dr. C directed that patient be scheduled for cystoscopy.

Hi there, a new patient visit would be billed by the NP, not incident-to.
