I am attempting to correct a Medicare claim (ASC)...

The doc performed an incisional biopsy on a suspicious lesion on the patient's small finger. The previous coder coded 10061 and 11420. Nothing was incised nor drained nor was the lesion excised. I'm not sure why it was coded this way especially since it was suspected malignant and the excision code is for a benign lesion....

Code 11100? Full thickness incisional biopsy suspicious for squamous cell?

Thanks for your help!
