I am looking for some clarification regarding Coronary Angiography (93454) when all the coronary vessels are not imaged. For example, the physician begins the cath, cannulates the left main and angiography is performed, but after multiple attempts he is unable to cannulate the right coronary artery and the procedure is aborted. Is it still acceptable to code 93454 since coronary angio was performed in the the left main or is it necessary to add the 52 modifier?

If anyone is able to shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated.
