Hi, I cannot find confirmation anywhere an need assistance. A flex sig is incomplete when? is it by cm at 30 cm or is it when it doesn't go past the rectosigmoid junction? I have had multiple different answers and cannot find confirmation of either. Thank you.

That rule only applies to colonoscopies. If they did a sigmoidoscopy, that’s it. If your try trying to determine between these 2. Flex vs rigid scopes.

However, "proctosigmoidoscopy" typically involves a rigid scope and examination of the rectum and a portion of the sigmoid colon, while "sigmoidoscopy" uses a flexible scope and examines the entire rectum and sigmoid colon, and may extend into the descending colon.
