senerio is that pt.was brought into cathlab and cath.dr.with thoracic surgeon did fem.cutdown access and Edwards valve was placed then slipped, so second one was placed but nudged the first one into the ventricle so a decision was made to go to an open procedure--which the thoracic surgeon performed alone. Can I bill the TAVR attempt 33362 with a 53 mod.for the cath.dr.alone (with the thoracic surgeon billing for the open procedure) or will we have to both bill the 33362 with a 62 and the 53?
