Wiki Indivudual Therapy and Family Therapy on same DOS

I have a provider that is seeing an adolescent for therapy. The provider saw the parents in the morning without the patient present, and then saw the patient that afternoon. Can the provider bill both the family therapy w/out patient (90846) and individual therapy on the same day?

Please help me! I am very new to psych coding. Thanks!

They do bundle per NCCI but you can add a 59 modifier to the individual therapy code.

You can bill both, second with 59 modifier. Send in documentation if claims are denied.
