When providers are ordering rapid Influenza A and B tests in the clinic are we to be counting those as one or two tests being ordered? The CPT code 87804 is reported for each test, so I felt since the code description did not represent both tests that two would be appropriate. This can frequently change the level of the visit , so I thought I would reach out for clarification. Thank you.
