as per guidelines "When assigning code 488.01 code also the coexisting pneumonia applies"

as per the book in indicates to use and additional code to identify the type of pneumonia..what if the patient only has community aquired pneumonia (code 486)? Do you still code 486 as secondary? Or, only if it's a specific type of pneumonia?
