I am in SC and Medicaid has contracted with a transportation company by the name of logisticare. It is listed on the Medicaid site. They call the office to verify when the appointment is for the patient they will be bringing. They also want to know why the patient is being seen. I am new to the compliance game and am unsure if it is ok to give them that information. Is it ok to confirm the date of the patient's appointment and whether it is billable to Medicaid if we do not say what the diagnosis is? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
