We are a rheumatology clinic with an infusion center. I have received a request from a medicare replacement program for documentation on an infusion from 2010. My issue is that they want signed system report for the disposable drug delivery system (IV tubing). The tubing is necessary to perform the infusion, as is the saline. I have a signed order for the infusion. Has anyone had this issue ? I have no idea what to send them for this request. I certainly do not want them to request a refund on the entire $5K infusion. My physicians and nurses do an excellent job of documentation, but didn't document the band-aid either.
