If a transfusion is given concurrently with an infusion, do you use the inital service IV push code 96374, or the subsequent, 96375, when reporting with the transfusion code, 36430?
 
It was documented as an IV push, less than 15 min. So what we are trying to determine if we should use the inital code, or the subsequent code, due to the transfusion?
 
I guess I was confused to your question being you said infusion and transfusion instead of injection and transfusion. You would use the 96374 as 36430 is not a primary code.
