Can anybody tell me if or can a NP see a patient on it first initial consultation visit alone or should it be done by the physician?

If your NP is working incident - to, then any problem addressed needs to be an established problem - which means the physician needs to see the patient initially. If your NP is working independently, they can see new or established patients.

I agree with gailmc. We have our docs see any new patients at least for the first visit & then our NP sees them after that. Good luck!
