My doc admitted the pt to observaton and wants to code as 99220. He followed up the next day and discharges her. Is there a code for the follow-up visit that led to him discharging her? Plus, he spent one and one-half hour with her at the follow-up visit. I am thinking 99215, but not sure. What do you think?
