Injection in the Inpatient Setting

I am having issues getting 20605 paid in the inpatient setting. Any ideas on why or what injections codes are covered in the inpatient setting? Thanks!

There should be no reason that this would not be covered in an inpatient setting if in fact the patient was admitted to the hospital. What issues are you having with this - what exactly does the denial say?

Its telling me that the service is not covered when performed in this place of service. The patient was inpatient.

That makes no sense to me and sounds like an error. I would appeal, or contact the insurance company and ask them to direct you to their policy or documentation showing why this would not be covered for an inpatient.
