If a patient is treated with an injection for osteoarthritis and then comes back in for a second injection but a year later and they need a new work-up can the office visit be charged with the 25 modifier? How far apart would the injections need to be to qualify for the visit w/the injection.

A portion of the RVU for 20610 is for an E/M related to inject. I would not bill for an office visit unless there was a new injury.

I would bill injection+med
