We have seen webinars that are contradicting each other. If a patient is seen at the ER for pnuemonia was diagnosed and giving medication for pneumonia then seen at the physician's office 3-5 days later would that physician's being an A-Initial visit or D-for subsequent
 
Pneumonia is not coded with the A,D, or S for encounter. You just use the the code for pneumonia or the Z09 for follow up depending on if the condition is still present or not.
