Inpatient coding question!!! if a new patient is admitted in a hospital-- 1.Can a coder code icd-9 procedure codes if the radiology procedure was done by the radiology department? I believe the answer is no because radiology department is a ancillary services. 2.Can a coder code icd-9 procedure codes for iv and infusion for inpatient . for example-- a patient gets a iv of lasix. What would be the icd procedure code be and the hcpcs for lasix? I appreciate the help
