I have a inpatient consult to where the doctor did not document the ROS only states reviewed.(I have since then told the doctor to document what he has review.) anyways can we code the consult as a low level visit without the ROS. everything else is documented.
 
The only choice would be the 99231 it is the only inpatient code that allows for focused history, if you have HPI and PFSH but no ROS the your history is focused.
