The patients primary family physician requested a consult from the surgeon in our facility. The surgeon documented no surgery intervention due to patients age but I will continue to follow along, and both the primary physician and the surgeon continue to see the patient each day until discharge. And they both want to bill their services each day. I don't feel that is correct. Any advice or information to articles on this would be very helpful.

Since they are diffrent specialties there is nothing that I can think of that would prevent them from both seeing and billing for their services on the same day. Of course this is assuming they both have documentation that meets the level they are billing out.
