Inpatient Hospital Billing and Timely Filing

hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me what the average timely filing is to bill out inpatient hospital billing for a PCP? I've been approached by a doctor to bill out 3 months worth of hopsital billing for him. I haven't seen the files yet so I'm not sure how far they go back but I wanted to cover my bases.

Depends on payer contracts

This will probably depend on the payer contracts. Some of our payers have a 90-day filing deadline. Some have 1 year (!) for provider claims to get submitted.
