Is there a difference in physician reimbursement for coronary interventions / angiography done as inpatient or outpatient? I cannot find anything on the web regarding this.

Also some cardiologist insist on admitting their patients as inpatients whereas the hospitals prefer the patients be admitted under observation / outpatient. Does any one know the reason for this?

Please help as the Doctors i work for an answer & I am not sure what to tell them.
