was wondering if anyone has heard the rumor that MC is going to stop covering office visits when an injection is done in the same visit. (this is like for Hyalgan, Synvisc, Supartz knee injections)

I don't understand this!..As if this was a New Patient. Same work up and Doctor decides to try Hyalgan...Medicare does not require a precert so he gives injection and charges a 99204 office visit. Why would they not pay?
