When billing inserts and orthotics do you bill orthotics with two units and then inserts with one whether it be left or right then designate left or right for the inserts?

Yes 1 unit per each shoe, insert.. Use RT and LT mods. Review the Medicare LCD to make sure you meet all the requirements for mod KX as well.

Is there a difference in how many you bill then for orthodics and the inserts? Orthodics I always bill two units for but the inserts is what I am confused on I bill for two of these as well?
