I have a patient who has Anthem BCBS. The insurance company has his DOB wrong. Do I sent the claim with the incorrect DOB? This is for an ambulance medical claim

Wiki Insurance has wrong DOB

If I am not mistaken, you would have to bill the claim with the DOB insurance has on file, but notate on account their actual DOB and that insurance has it listed incorrectly.

it's up to the patient to update the insurance company. Drop the bill to the patient (or contact the patient and let them know that they will be responsible), and tell them to call to update. The insurance company won't take patient corrections from you.
