Sterile prep and drape of Right anterior thigh and Left anterior thigh. 2% Lidocaine anesthesia injected overlying easch lipomatous mass, 15 blade created transverse 1.5 to 2 cm incisions directly over the lipomas. 2 lipomas dissected out of subcutaneous plane and removed from right anterior thigh. 4 lipomas dissected out of subcutaneous plane and removed from Left anterior thigh they varied in size from 1-2.5 com. Closure accomplished with 4-0 vicryl subcuticular closure for the smaller ones. Closure accomplished with 2-0 chromic and 3-0 prolene for the larger ones. Dx: Angiolipoma. Not sure whether to use the Inter. or Musc. section ???

It is my understanding (and how I bill) that when procedure involves subcutaneous tissue this refers to the musculoskeletal section; integumentary if only through dermis.

When you go beneath the dermis, you are then in musculoskeletal.
