Intercostal Nerve injections for preemptive analgesia for thoracic surgery

We have a cardio-thoracic surgeon who wants to begin administering intercostal nerve injections prior to thoracic surgery to control post-op pain.
I see that First Coast and National Government Services both have LCDs have wording which seem to allow this, but have not found any specific billing information.
I'm assuming the 64420 would need to be billed the day before the surgery. Has anyone had any luck billing these types of services and having them paid
by insurance?
