How, if you can, would you code this>>>
A pt had a thyroid ultrasound and the report was read at the hospital. After receiving the report, a Doctor in our office decides to read the report and view the films and disagrees with the first report. Can our Doctor bill the interpretation of the ultrasound (using modifier 26)???
Can this even be billed??? My answer is NO. I think it should not be billed, but should be noted in the medical record. What do you think???
