A Pediatric physician forward this question to me and I was wondering if anyone was using this practice and having any success with it?

An issue that was brought up was proper use of interpreters, their cost, and questions regarding reimbursement. After some checking with AAP coding experts they concluded that a modifier 32 could be appended to E and M service code to charge for interpreters. Apparently, there is also a HCPCS Level II procedure code for sign language services T1013. I am wondering however if any of you are aware of anyone using this approach and whether or not any insurers are in fact reimbursing for it.
