Is there a way to bill medicare for interpretive services. We have a patient who is deaf and we have to provide an interpreter everytime we see them. It is costing more to see this patient then we collect.

I know this is a controversial situation, but Ohio's Medicare Carrier, Palmetto GBA has listed this under their E&M frequently asked questions stating that billing for prolonged care is appropriate. Of course, you would have to follow ADA guidelines as well.
