I have a diagnosis that only says intra abdominal infection. It doesn't state abscess. Where would I look for this?

Your issue is very vague. Can you provide addt'l information. i.e. what is causing the abdominal infection... the abscess? Also, you stated you are looking for an dx/icd.9... what is the primany dx. and are there other diagnosis relating to the S/S? If surgery was perfomed what was it?
 
It is an infectious disease consult...all I have is what she is seeing the patient for and the only other reference I have is ileus and s/p small bowel obstruction. I don't think there is enough detail there to tie anything together so I was just looking at "intra abdominal infection"
