I need help please on this one. Not sure how this could happen, but the patient had a IUD that became disloged and was in the abdominal cavity.
The patient was brought to the OR and placed under general anesthesia. The arm was prepped and draped in usual sterile fashion. A 10 mm and 5mm port placed. The IUD was identified and photo documentation was obtained. The IUD was incorporated into the greater omentum and was readily elevated with a grasper. Electrocautery was used to separate it from the omentum without much difficulty it was brought out to the port without difficulty. New peritomeum was re-obtained. The area was inspected. Ports were removed.
Maybe 49320 but what about the FB removal? There is a open code 49402 but I dont see a lap like code.
